What are the classifications of roadblock lights?
Type A light
Low intensity and flash from both sides.
Typical use is on channelizers, as traffic control signs, road closures and warning signs of potential hazards.
These lights are for night use only, daytime use is not permitted.
Type B lamp
High intensity and flash from one side only.
Suitable for warning purposes similar to Type A lights, and to alert motorists to road hazard signs.
The back and cover design ensures that the light only angles in one direction so they are visible in all day/night light conditions.
C-shaped light
Steady burning, no flickering.
Reminds motorists of roadblocks or traffic safety devices themselves, not of road hazards.
Used in contour line series to guide traffic through obstacles such as temporary road construction work areas in low light conditions.
D-shaped light
Burns steadily, flashes, or both, offers 3 60 degree field of view, with dome-mounted lens.
Eliminated alignment visibility issues on circular traffic cones or drums.
Suitable for many types of industrial use, including day or night emergency/construction vehicle installations.
Economical D-size battery light
Our light duty 3 volt Y2K LED barricade lights are suitable for Type A or Type C use. A three-way switch toggles between flashing, steady burn, and off modes. Its 3-volt circuit can run on two or four D-cell batteries and features an energy-saving photocell. It lasts five times longer than traditional 6-volt lanterns.
The lens color of this LED economy light is amber. Its compact yellow housing houses corrosion-resistant stainless steel battery contacts and moisture-proof circuitry. Model 400 6 Volt Barrier Light
This 400 type B lamp has a 3-way switch pin for flashing and/or steady burn and off mode. Heavy-duty yellow housing is made of high-strength polypropylene. UV stabilized 7" Fresnel polycarbonate lens design with 5/8" reflector outer ring.
Its power source is two 6V spring-terminal batteries optimized for energy-saving photovoltaics. Moisture proof circuitry with 2 year warranty and reverse polarity protection. Compatible with a variety of devices, this energy-efficient LED light includes ring handle contoured traffic cones and lasts up to 10 years.
Model 2006 D-Cell and 2006S Solar Auxiliary Lights
With its 3-way pattern, the Model 2006 3 Volt D-Type Battery Light is suitable for both Type A and Type C applications. The durable yellow copolymer outer shell houses an impact-resistant, removable inner candle to minimize damage. Hold 2 or 4 batteries vertically and place them in the spring lock closure box base.
The Model 2006S Solar Barrier Light has similar features to the standard model but has circuitry in the light head assembly. The internal high-capacity Ni-MH rechargeable battery is powered by a solar panel.
