Design principles and key points of urban traffic signs
Traffic signs and signs are necessary to facilitate people's travel. To play a role, traffic signs and signs must follow certain principles and design points, which mainly reflect the following aspects:
1. Functional principle: Functionality means that urban traffic signs and signs should play their own role, guide people to travel smoothly and conveniently, and improve travel efficiency. Functionality is the most basic and important principle in the design of urban traffic signs. All traffic signs and signs should be designed around this principle.
2. Standardization: Standardization means that the design of urban traffic signs follows certain international and domestic design standards, so that urban traffic signs can be conveyed correctly. Standardization is also a sign of a city's civilized image.
3. Artistic: Artistic mainly reflects the deep meaning of creativity and expression of traffic signs, such as formal beauty and the law of beauty. On the premise of ensuring the recognizability of the road signs, some reasonable artistic elements are infiltrated into the design of dynamic and image signs. This can not only ensure the realization of the basic functions of traffic signs, but also increase people's visual appeal. This is also one of the important principles to distinguish different signs. In order to attract and impress people, we should follow the principles of art and design excellent and distinctive traffic signs.
Since urban traffic signs and signs serve the public, social responsibility should be considered, especially for the elderly, the weak, the sick and the disabled. They should not feel neglected in their lives, which reflects the public welfare and perfection of the urban traffic sign system and realizes a people-oriented civilized society.
