Briefly describe what are the requirements for the installation of traffic sign poles

Cantilevered traffic sign poles generally include single cantilevered traffic sign poles (called F poles in the industry) and double cantilevered traffic sign poles (called T-shaped poles in the industry)

Column-type traffic sign poles generally include single-pillar traffic sign poles and multi-pillar traffic sign poles.

Height requirement

The cantilevered traffic sign pole, the anchor cage of the sign pole is about 80cm away from the road surface, the foundation position should have firm earth all around, the foundation depth is not less than 1.8 meters, and the whole concrete is not less than 4 cubic meters. The bottom end of the cantilevered traffic sign pole should not be less than 5 meters from the ground, and it should be between 5-5.5. The inner edge of the column sign installation should not intrude into the road construction boundary. Generally, the distance from the outer edge of the roadway or sidewalk or the dirt road shoulder is not less than 25cm, and the height of the lower edge of the traffic sign board from the road surface is generally 150cm~250cm. When installed on urban roads with a large proportion of small vehicles, the height from the bottom edge to the ground can be effective according to actual conditions, but should not be less than 120cm. When installed on the roadside with pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles, the installation height should be greater than 180cm.

Location requirements

The location of the traffic sign pole is also very important, and it should be selected at an intersection with a good perspective. For straight roads, it can also be set on the right side of the road, above the road separation belt (isolation facility) or the roadway according to the specific situation. Single-frame roads can be set on the left side of the road when no conditions are set on the right side of the road.

Angle requirement

In order to reduce the glare of the sign facing the driver, the sign surface should be perpendicular or at a certain angle to the center line of the road: 0 to 10 degrees for guidance and warning signs, 0 to 45 degrees for prohibition and indication signs; cantilever type or attached type For signs, the elevation angle between the sign face and the longitudinal section of the road should be 02 to 15 degrees

Distance requirement

The interval between pillar type and attached type sign poles should be greater than 30 meters, and the interval between cantilever type and gantry type should be greater than 80 meters.

Multiple sign requirements

There are many signs that need to be set up in the same place, which can be solved by using combined signs.
